Here I am gang, at my table hard at work. You can see the set of Ghastly's Ghastly Paper Dolls I was selling during the con. They sold very well. Set of all the characters (minus Jihad Jesus and Lord Tentaclax because they were created after the dolls were) in paper doll form for $5.
The portable drawing table I used to draw on during the convention was one I made myself (as was
the prop pipe). All just scrap wood I had kicking around the house and a drawing table rubber green surface mat. Looks great. Works great. Makes a handy carrying case for art supplies.
The signs along the top of the drawing table say "Yes! You can talk to me!", "Don't be shy, I'm very friendly.", "Amaze your friends.", and "Confound your enemies.". I needed to encourage some of my readers to come talk to me because I was getting an awful lot of e-mails along the lines of "I saw you today at the convention but I was too shy to come up and bother you, but I really wanted to say 'hi'."
Never be shy about coming up and talking to me when you see me somewhere. I'm extremely extroverted, friendly, and outgoing. I love talking to people. I love meeting my readers. I don't mind in the least when people go "gushing fanboy/fangirl" on me. Just don't do it in the washroom. That's the only place I'm uncomfortable with it, when I go to the washroom and people follow me in there doing the "gushing fanboy/fangirl" routine. That gets just a little awkward when you're trying to use the urinal.
Other than that, seriously, if you see me at a convention, or even on the street, don't be afraid of approaching me. I don't mind meeting readers, shaking hands, chatting about stuff, drawing quick doodles, or signing autographs. All that sort of stuff is really super cool with me.
