Here we are on stage for the annual Joe Strummer Night. It's a tribute to the former Clash front man who left us in 2002. About a dozen Hamilton area bands get together to play various Joe Strummer songs in a charity event that raises funds for Hillcrest School's music programme. We performed "Police On My Back", "Guns of Brixton", and "Brand New Cadillac". Since each group was only doing three songs (there were over a dozen of us who had to perform) I only brought the Dolby AZ-1 and the computer which I've turned into a synth module so that my setup and tear-down time would be a short as possible, plus less gear to haul. It was a fantastic night and this year's tribute set records both in terms of attendance and in funds raised for the charity. AWESOME!
It's also fun just getting to hang out with all your peers. The show was held at the Underground tavern where we have played once before. Monica's husband Joe Notstrummer took the photos of us onstage as is his job at all our shows.
